“To get the feel for this one, I thought back to a B. B. King tune, ’I Got a Mind to Give Up Living,’ one of my favorite slow minor blues. Honestly, to me, there’s nothing more beautiful than a minor blues. Something about it evokes so much emotion; after all these years, I still keep coming back to it. And though my traditional sensibilities sure gave way to some of my weird guitar techniques at the end, it does have a lot of atmosphere.“
